We were lucky enough to have a visit from the very talented creators of the 'Kevin' Series. The whole of KS2 got together in the hall to listen to them read their new book 'Kevin vs The Unicorns' which we loved.
They also explained to us how writing a story is a bit like making a board game as you need to come up with problems along the way and also ways to boost your characters along.
Sarah got us all drawing our own versions of Kevin with ourselves flying on his back, there are some excellent illustrators in our school!
Finally, they surprised us by giving every child a free copy of the first book in the series - 'The Legend of Kevin'. We would like to thank Oxford University Press for donating these to all our KS2 children and to the Bookery in Crediton for setting up such a wonderful visit for us all!
