Finally, I would like you to complete this worksheet, which asks you to compare number sentences using words and symbols. Use objects, such as counters, beads or pasta to help you to work out the calculations. It might also be helpful to use a number line or tens frame to support your work (we have used these before so you should have them available)
Grown ups, if your child is finding this work tricky, please just focus on them comparing numbers to 10 and then 20, using the words 'greater than', 'equal to' and 'less than'. You could also support them to use the symbols for these phrases. Eg. 4 is less than 8 / 4 < 8 / 5 > 2 / 5 is greater than 2. It is important that you use objects to support this work too.
