I WOULD LIKE TO SEE YOUR MATHS TODAY SO PLEASE EMAIL A PHOTO OF YOUR WORK TO ME.

Today is a practical maths lesson...

You are going to need some resources! But don't panic - I think you can get creative at home.

I would like you to use some practical (real life) things to make some 2D shapes.

We will save the drawing for tomorrow, but today I want you to get moving and to practise creating the outline of various 2D shapes.

Think back to our counting the sides and vertices lessons - can you make some 2D shapes?

So go grab some resources and get making....

maybe lolly sticks...pencils or pens....spaghetti....breadsticks....chocolate fingers....or get outside for some twigs or sticks...blades of grass....

Have a look at these pictures for some ideas on how creative you can get:

Can you tell your grown up what your shapes are? How many sides and vertices does it have?

Can you label them with post-its or small pieces of paper and send me a photo of your collection please?

Can't wait to see them!

Enjoy!
