The Governors of Landscore Primary School are seeking to employ an inspirational and highly motivated Early Years Foundation Stage teacher to join our dynamic and successful team. The role will involve:

Planning and delivering creative and stimulating lessons that meet the requirements of the Reception curriculum

Fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students' social and emotional development

Communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, ensuring a strong partnership between home and school
The successful candidate will have a developing or secure knowledge and understand of the Early Years curriculum and the learning goals that children work towards across their Reception year. They will be passionate about Early Years and understand how crucial this phase is in setting the foundations for future success. We are looking for a candidate who is committed to nurture and support our young people and champion them. They will be able to provide an enriching curriculum with a range of experiences inside and outside of the classroom.
In our EYFS unit:

We value play and the important role play holds in early childhood development

Children learn through a blend of whole class directed teaching, small group work and play during provision time

Teacher’s utilise objective led-planning for provision time, however, children are also given time and opportunity to follow their own interests

Adults interact with children in provision time to enhance children’s play and to support children in repeating, rehearsing and applying skills and knowledge within the provision

We adopt a relational approach to behaviour management and work alongside children to support their social, emotional development

Children enjoy learning across different areas of provision that are set up indoors and outdoors

We are committed to providing a strong CPD offer to all members of staff. One of the benefits of being a two-form entry school, is that teachers who teach in the same year group have PPA time together in order to support joint planning and workload. ECTs receive additional time out of the classroom and dedicated weekly mentoring sessions with an experienced mentor.

This role requires a DBS disclosure.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

Teaching Assistant and HLTA - Fixed Term Posts
27.08 hours a week
Monday - Friday 8.45am - 3.30pm
(coffee break and lunch break unpaid)
The governors at Landscore are looking to appoint additional staff, for this academic year. We need enthusiastic, committed and patient people who can use their own initiative and can also work as part of a committed team. We are a fully inclusive school and very child centred. We need people who can challenge and motivate pupils, promote self-esteem, provide feedback in relation to progress, achievement and behaviour and also provide pastoral support. Having a kind and caring nature is paramount in order to support our children with social and emotional needs.
Having an understanding of the National Curriculum and proven experience of working in a school environment would be beneficial for the teaching assistant positions and for the HLTA post, having the HLTA qualification (or equivalent), an understanding of the National Curriculum and proven experience of working in a school environment are all essential.

TA posts will be payable on a C grade: hourly rate £12.18 and HLTA posts will be on a E grade: hourly rate £14.66.
